It’s almost time for arguably the biggest party of WrestleMania Weekend. This Friday night, Game Changer Wrestling presents Joey Janela’s Spring Break 7. Don’t let the “party” aspect of the name take away from the fact that this has been a landmark event for many independent wrestlers, allowing them to showcase their abilities to a wide audience. Even for those that may be saving their energy for other wrestling shows during this eventful week, Spring Break isn’t one to be missed. This is evidenced by the fact that tickets have long since sold out. Fear not, however, as all the action will unfold live via the FITE+ service. Here’s what to expect before party time in Los Angeles.

Maki Death Kill Team Up for One Night Only
In what has been one of the more pleasant surprises for Game Changer Wrestling fans, Maki Itoh and Nick Gage have formed a strong bond over the past several shows. Needless to say, the idea of “The Fired Idol” teaming up with one of the most well-known deathmatch wrestlers in history seems preposterous, almost as if it’s something out of fiction. However, not only is the friendship between Itoh and Gage strong but it has made for a fan-favorite pairing to boot. This Friday, at Joey Janela’s Spring Break 7, the duo known as Maki Death Kill will team for one night only. Expect these two to bring a unique brand of chaos to Spring Break, making an already exciting party one that wrestling fans would be unwise to pass up as they battle the duo of Allie Katch and EFFY, collectively known as BUSSY.

The Golden Star Steps Up to The Bad Boy
Making his Collective debut this year is Kota Ibushi and to say that “The Golden Star’s” debut is highly anticipated would be an understatement. His blend of high-flying athleticism and hard-hitting strikes made him one of the most popular wrestlers in his home country of Japan, New Japan Pro-Wrestling to be more specific. It’s here where he found the lion’s share of his success, capturing 3 IWGP Junior Heavyweight titles, 2 IWGP Intercontinental titles, and becoming the first IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. WWE fans may also know him from his brief stint with the company, competing in the Cruiserweight Classic. At Joey Janela’s Spring Break 7, he takes on the namesake of the event in question. Despite the different styles at play, this has the makings to be one of the best matches of the night, if not the bout that steals the show. Can Ibushi make his Spring Break debut a success? Find out this Friday night.

Motor City Machine Guns Defend the Gold
Also set for action this Friday are the reigning GCW Tag Team Champions, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, collectively known as Motor City Machine Guns. Regarded as one of the best tag teams across various promotions, MCMG captured the GCW tag titles this past March, besting Los Macizos to do so. Shelley and Sabin’s work as a tag team over the past decade and a half plus speaks for itself. For context, they captured tag team gold in IMPACT Wrestling, Ring of Honor, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling, just to name a few organizations. At Joey Janela’s Spring Break 7, they’ll go up against East West Express, the duo of Nick Wayne and Jordan Oliver. Both as singles and tag team wrestlers, Wayne and Oliver have seen considerable success, which led them to this tag team title bout. Between an established tandem and a duo on the rise, who will leave Ukrainian Cultural Center with the GCW Tag Team Championship?
