Battle of the Expresses
The East West Express will represent GCW as Jordan Oliver and Nick Wayne take on Moonlight Express from DDT. Fans can expect to see Mike Bailey on the DDT side as part of Moonlight Express. Bailey is known for having as many matches as possible during WrestleMania weekend. Fans can always expect a great match from Bailey, and he will team with MAO in this match. MAO is an in-ring technician with a background in Judo as the duo bring Midnight Express back for the Collective. The last time these two teamed up was in 2020 against Chris Brookes and Danshoku Dino at DDT April Fools. The match ended in a no contest. Now they have the opportunity to come out with a win against The East West Express.
Jordan Oliver and Nick Wayne have been climbing up the tag team ladder in GCW. They had a shot at the GCW Tag Team Championships but lost to Los Macizos. Since then, they have picked up wins over Strange By Komand, Fresh Air, and Wasted Youth. A big win over Moonlight Express would be big to get them back into tag team title contention.
This match should be a mix of fast-paced and in-ring technicality. We will see who comes out of the Collective with a big victory.
Janela Takes on Ueno
Joey Janela has been a cornerstone for GCW for quite a while now. Standing across from him will be Yuki Ueno who is a cornerstone for DDT in the making. Known for his athletic and technical approach to his matches, Ueno is one to keep an eye on in the world of professional wrestling. Both men will have a busy week as Ueno will take on Konosuke Takeshita at the DDT Goes Hollywood event. Janela will host the annual Joey Janela Spring Break event which will also be at the Collective.
The experience edge will go to Janela. Janela is also more likely to take a big risk in the ring. Ueno on the other hand has the advantage in technical wrestling and raw athleticism. The strengths and weaknesses between the two should make for an interesting matchup at GCW vs DDT.
