Preview: NWA Powerrr (12/5/23) – Thrillbilly Defends the NWA National Heavyweight Championship

NWA Powerrr star and NWA National Heavyweight Champion "Thrillbilly" Silas Mason.

The National Wrestling Alliance kicks off the final month of 2023 with a bang on this week’s edition of NWA Powerrr. It really has been a good year for the NWA, 365 days of some of the most incredible professional wrestling the NWA Nation and industry fans, in general, have ever seen.

For the legacy promotion, they don’t plan on pulling any punches and will continue until the last day of the year, all the way to the first of the next, bringing their loyal following the best the promotion offers. With all that said, let’s preview Tuesday night’s NWA Powerrr. Let’s run it down.

Full NWA Powerrr Match Card:

  • Max The Impaler In Action
  • NWA National Heavyweight Championship Match: “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason (c) vs. Devan Dixon
  • Country Gentlemen vs. Slime Ballz
  • Joe Alonzo vs. Rey Fury vs. Luke Kurtis

Mr. NWA Runs it Back

It has been a rough couple of weeks from the self-proclaimed ‘Mr. NWA.” Back at NWA SamhainJoe Alonzo nearly dethroned reigning NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion Colby Corino. Unfortunately, Corino was too much for Alonzo in their ‘Pillars to Post’ match leaving his 26-year-old opponent staring up at the lights.

After more than a month away from NWA programming, Joe Alonzo has the opportunity to gain some momentum back in a three-way dance against indie standouts making their collective debuts, Luke Kurtis and Rey Fury.

Will Joe Alonzo pick up his first win after his devastating loss to Colby Corino? Or will either one of the two young upstarts dethrone one of NWA’s brightest stars?

Champions Week

From one individual who almost secured some NWA hardware to two competitors carrying gold as we speak.

Both NWA National Heavyweight Champion ‘Thrillbilly’ Silas Mason and NWA World Women’s Television Champion Max The Impaler have been bulldozing through their opponents since winning their titles back at NWA 75.

For Silas, he’s been on a six-match winning streak. Simultaneously, the ‘Warlord of the Wasteland’ has been unbelievably dominant since becoming champion, as they are currently on a 16-match roll, also winning TJPW’s International Princess Championship in the process.

The opponents of these unbelievably talented champions will have their work cut out for them as neither Max nor Thrillbilly will make it easy. All that and more on another exciting installment of NWA Powerrr!
