After feeling like the world was against her, Bayley achieves vindication by defeating her old Damage CTRL running mate IYO SKY for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania XL. Here’s a brief recap of how the new champion got to this point.
Catalyst for Change
Bayley formed Damage CTRL in an effort to revolutionize the WWE Women’s Division. The faction ran over the whole roster, scoring a couple of WWE Women’s Tag Team Title reigns along the way. It seemed like it was them against the world throughout this run
Unfortunately, the cracks started to show when Bayley secured her WrestleMania XL main event at the Royal Rumble. IYO SKY, along with Dakota Kai and The Kabuki Warriors, were planning to exile from her own group, plotting for months ahead of her Rumble win.
What Damage CTRL didn’t anticipate was Bayley knowing the plan all along, putting a wrench into their whole operation and challenging SKY for her WWE Women’s Title.

Bayley saw the error of her ways and vowed to end the reign of Damage CTRL once and for all. Everything went according to Bayley’s favor, dethroning her once treasured friend to become WWE Women’s Champion. To the former champion’s credit, IYO fought to the bitter end.
The match as a whole was a back-and-forth affair, with each competitor pulling out all the stops. However, there can be only one, and Bayley was the one.
Bayley was not gonna let anything get in her way of destroying the very monster she created and cementing her name once again as one of the top champions in WWE. This is Bayley’s fourth reign with the title, including her reigns as SmackDown, Raw, and NXT Champion.
