They’re here.
As Monday night Raw began to go off the air on June 17th, the lights around the arena began to go down, and a doorway appeared on the stage. The camera followed through the door and explored the backstage area, exposing the massacre that had taken place.
Members of the WWE roster and production team had been left battered, bruised, and bloody. Among the bodies that were strewn all over, there were five figures left standing.
The Wyatt Sicks had officially arrived, with Uncle Howdy at the helm. As Raw came to an end, viewers were left with a captivating cliffhanger, and plenty of questions to be answered.
With that in mind, let’s explore this violent group in more detail.
Abby The Witch – Nikki Cross
The first character that emerged on-screen appeared to be Abby The Witch. She crawled through the doorway and directed the camera to make its way backstage.
It was clear to see that this witch was being portrayed by the former Nikki Cross, who has not wrestled a televised match since November 2023. She had also previously been appearing in backstage shots looking lost and confused.
Despite her multiple championship runs in WWE, she hasn’t had a favorable position on the card for the majority of her time in the company. With that in mind, her role as the harbinger of the Wyatt Sicks has already given her a more imposing feel.
If you’re interested in how well-suited to this role she is, make sure that you check out her work as a member of SAnitY for an insight into her more aggressive style. Her role as the psychopathic and unstable member of that group has set her up nicely for her new role in the Wyatt Sicks.
Ramblin’ Rabbit – Erick Rowan
The next character that we came across was the hulking figure of Ramblin’ Rabbit. Holding a mallet over his head, he had seemingly beaten some of the crew senseless and stood menacingly over them.
Underneath the mask was the easily identifiable red beard of none other than a returning Erick Rowan. It had been reported and rumored for the past couple of months that Rowan had re-signed with WWE but this had yet to be confirmed until now.
He has made appearances in AEW, GCW, and many other promotions since his departure from WWE in 2020 and his return is a welcome one.
Aside from the group’s leader, Rowan has the clearest link to the Wyatt name, after being an inaugural member of the Wyatt Family over a decade ago. His inclusion in this new faction makes total sense and he ought to strike fear into the hearts of everyone on the roster.
Mercy The Buzzard – Dexter Lumis
Next up was an appearance from Mercy The Buzzard. Perched atop a storage unit, he was looking over the pile of bodies that lay in front of him.
Mercy was played by Dexter Lumis, who hasn’t had a televised match in over a year. Lumis has always been presented as an odd character, with a lack of direction and a clear off-putting nature about him.
Despite the lack of accomplishments to his name, Lumis’ work as the unusual background character has always been intriguing. He’s more than capable of being portrayed as a peculiar, chilling character and it’ll be interesting to see how his run as Mercy The Buzzard is handled.
Huskus The Pig Boy – Joe Gacy
The final member of the Wyatt Sicks entourage was Huskus The Pig Boy. His face appeared to be a hybrid of a pig and a gas mask, which made for a creepy visual.
Behind the mask was the former NXT roster member, Joe Gacy. Gacy had been featured on Tuesday nights for the past three years and had, most recently, been presented as a bizarre figure who was able to take a beating.
Formerly, he had been a member of Schism alongside the Grizzled Young Veterans, but it never felt as though he truly found a direction after the duo left WWE. Despite the fact that so much of his presentation seemed to align with that of Bray Wyatt, the two never crossed paths.
His call-up from NXT on this episode of Raw is a thoughtful one, as it doesn’t appear that there is much more for Gacy to do on the third brand. His role as the maniacal Huskus The Pig Boy will undoubtedly be captivating and it will be exciting to see what Gacy can do as a member of this group.
Uncle Howdy – Bo Dallas
As was expected, the focal figure of the Wyatt Sicks faction was none other than Uncle Howdy. He has not been seen on WWE television since the beginning of 2023, after Bray Wyatt’s unfortunate passing.
Since April 2024, rumors had been rampant of an Uncle Howdy return alongside other members of the now Wyatt Sicks group. The night after WWE WrestleMania 40, QR codes began appearing on-screen during Raw and SmackDown episodes teasing his return.
It all came to a head when the Wyatt Sicks appeared on the June 17th episode of Raw, as Uncle Howdy emerged as the ringmaster of the violent group.
As with his appearances in 2022, Uncle Howdy is being portrayed by the former Bo Dallas. Dallas – real name Taylor Rotunda – hasn’t wrestled a match since 2019, prior to his work with Wyatt. However, it’s unlikely that Howdy will take to the ring anytime soon.
With reports that the group will be more rooted in reality than previous iterations of the Wyatt Family, it will undoubtedly make for scintillating television. Every member of the group deserves this opportunity and, hopefully, they will be presented appropriately.
