Andrade and Carmelo Hayes have been battling each other for months. Their matches have been hard hitting, awe inspiring, and full of athleticism. On the October 25, 2024 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, with the score tied 3 to 3, the two men battled it out for a United States Championship title shot with LA Knight as the referee.
After both men almost knocked Knight out of action, he took matters into his own hands, using the BFT on both of them and ending Game 7 without a clear winner. Knight then cut a promo saying he was the true winner and called Andrade and Hayes losers.
It was later announced that a triple threat match would take place at Crown Jewel on November 2. With all that in mind, did Knight mean what he said in the promo, or did he have a bigger plan in place?
LA Knight Truly Believes He’s the Best
Most people would say that LA Knight has a huge ego, which is exactly how he would describe himself. Everywhere he goes, whether he commands it or not, his presence just screams star power.
He has the catchphrase, the glasses, the promo skills, and the wrestling ability. It makes sense why he deems Andrade and Hayes to not be on his level.
He has the fans in the palm of his hand, something he doesn’t see in those two men. Since he was the referee, his actions were perfectly legal, even though the two competitors didn’t like it. In his mind, they weren’t worthy to try and take the championship away from him.
Andrade and Hayes Are of Interest to Knight
Even though he won’t admit it, LA Knight probably has been very interested in the Andrade vs. Hayes feud. He has seen what everyone watching has seen – two men who have fought each other without any sign of stopping.
He knew that Crown Jewel was coming up, so why not interfere and force the triple threat to take up a spot on the card?
What he did on Friday allowed this multi month feud to end on a PLE, something many fans have wanted since their feud began. Andrade and Hayes should actually be thanking him for giving them a proper Game 7.
LA Knight might’ve bumped this feud up to legendary status by costing the two men a decisive victory.
The Three Men Will Have a Great Battle
The intersection of storylines between these two men will make for a perfect fight at Crown Jewel on Saturday. Andrade and Hayes have a proper ending to their feud, while LA Knight has two opponents he has to defeat in order to keep the United States Championship.
If Andrade or Hayes manage to capture the title, it’ll give one of them the leg up on the other.
However, LA Knight could spoil their fun and retain his championship. Whichever way the match goes, it’ll sure be entertaining and a fitting end to a great series of battles.
