Possible Surprises for WWE Survivor Series 2024

This year’s edition of WWE Survivor Series is shaping up to be a good one. The Bloodline drama has been in full swing as the OG and New Versions are set to do battle in War Games. On top of that, there will be a fascinating dynamic as the women are on tap to compete in their own War Games contest.

Outside of that, there is going to be a great world championship match, and no doubt the ever-evolving Kevin Owens drama will continue. Those are the things we know about, but what about the ones we don’t?

WWE Survivor Series has a history of great surprises. Last year alone, we got an all-time great when CM Punk made his return to WWE, so who isn’t to say that WWE isn’t gearing up for some surprises this go around? Let’s discuss some potential options for surprises this year.

The Second City Saint Making His Return

CM Punk’s return at last year’s WWE Survivor Series was a massive moment. It was a scene that not many thought we would ever see, and the Chicago crowd blew the roof off when Cult of Personality rang through the arena.

It was one of the highlights of 2023 and would be a highlight again if WWE decided to run it back.

Punk has been absent from television since the Raw after Bad Blood. Selling the effects of Hell in a Cell is the right move, but enough time has passed, and Punk needs to return.

Making an appearance after the winning of Damian Priest and Gunther is declared would be the perfect way to insert himself into the World Championship picture.

The Final Boss Makes His Intentions Known

The Rock’s heel persona has been fantastic. He can so easily move between heel and face that you never know what character you’re going to get.

Now that there has been a schism in the Bloodline, it will be interesting to see where The Rock lands. His appearance after Bad Blood raised more questions than answers as he stared down both Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.

There is no telling what The Rock is going to do, but it’s going to be a whole lot of fun watching it happen.

The Final Boss coming out after the men’s War Games match and attacking either Rhodes or Reigns would be a nice surprise and set up a mega match down the line. The only question is who he goes after.

Is It Possible That Damian Priest Gets Back The World Championship?

This may be an out-there surprise, but why not make it happen? Priest has been one of the best babyfaces on Raw since his official turn. He had easily cut through his opponents and rightfully earned another shot at the champ.

It should be a great match, and one that’s finished could be more up in the air than one might think.

Damian Priest has been one of the few men to take Gunther to the limit. It can be argued that the only reason that Gunther was able to win the World Championship was due to outside interference.

This time around, Gunther doesn’t have that lifeline, and who is to say Damian doesn’t go over? There are more heels to face on the roster for Priest, and his second run could be legendary.

Will The Queen Return?

Charlotte tearing everything in her knee last December was devastating—devastating for her and the women’s division as they lost one of their biggest pieces. Raw and Smackdown have done well in her absence, but there is a clear void without The Queen on the roster.

She is a constant challenger to the top championships and always puts together great matches.

Rumour has it that Charlotte has been spotted training at the Performance Center, so is a return on the horizon? It would be great to see the Women’s War Games match finish with boy World Champions celebrating in the ring.

Then, familiar music hits, and Charlotte comes out to go face-to-face with Liv Morgan and Nia Jax. It would be an amazing way to reintroduce the Queen.

It’s Tiffy Time!

Tiffany Stratton was by far the best choice to win Money in the Bank. She is the brightest up-and-coming star on the roster and has been getting some wonderful reactions from the crowd.

With the briefcase in tow, she will eventually hold a world championship, but WWE Survivor Series might be the best time to pull the trigger on that.

The angle between Tiffy and Nia Jax has been fun, but it is getting close to running its course. The fans want to see a conclusion to their issues, and the only logical one is for Tiffy to finally cash in on her opportunity.

What better time to accomplish this than when Jax has been put through the wringer in War Games? It would get a great pop and make for an interesting end to the Women’s War Games match.
