MIRAI Wins 2022 Cinderella Tournament, Picks Winner of Saya Kamitani vs. Maika

MIRAI has walked into Stardom and has instantly set herself as one of the biggest names in the promotion. On Friday, MIRAI defeated Koguma in the finals of the Cinderella Tournament to become the 2022 Cinderella, following the likes of Saya Kamitani, Giulia, Mayu Iwatani, Momo Watanabe, and so many more. The victory is one that instantly supplants herself above a number of others, showing MIRAI’s ability to transform since she stepped into Stardom at the beginning of 2022. It was no “walk in the park” for MIRAI however, as she faced determined competitors in both her matches. It looked like Natsupoi had the win a number of times in their match but it was MIRAI’s win via Kimura Lock that moved her onto the finals.

Koguma pulled the upset of the night when she eliminated her tag team partner and remaining favorite Hazuki to advance to the second Cinderella Tournament Final of her career. MIRAI was able to take down “The Bear,” keeping God’s Eye defeated since forming. In her winning ceremony, MIRAI made her wish — challenging the winner of Saya Kamitani vs. Maika to a Wonder of Stardom Championship match.

MIRAI’s title challenge will likely take place at Flashing Champions on May 28.

Color’s Arrives, Confronts Cosmic Angels

Following the six-team gauntlet match where the Cosmic Angels team of Tam Nakano, Unagi Sayaka, and Mina Shirakawa walked out as the winners, the Color’s group made their way down to the ring to lay down a challenge to Stardom’s historic trio. Led by SAKI, the four challenged the Cosmic Angels to a match, which was accepted by Nakano. Color’s was already set to take part in NEW BLOOD 2, so while their appearance isn’t totally shocking, it continues the trend of Stardom working with outside talent.

There’s nothing set as of this match writing so presumably, it will take place at a later date.
