A Duel in Dayton
A rivalry that was once had out of mutual respect and competition has now turned extremely personal. To settle the score, Hangman Page and Jon Moxley will have their rubber match in the “Purveyor of Violence’s” hometown and where all this animosity started this Wednesday night.
On last week’s Dynamite, Page seemingly had no remorse for the damage he caused the former AEW World Champion after absolutely obliterating Moxley in their second meeting a few weeks back. However, to be fair, Mox didn’t shed a tear either when he almost ended the career of Adam Page months back.
These two are now dead even as far as wins go. That said, it’s not about victories and defeats anymore. This whole blood feud has turned ugly and no man is letting up until they get their hands on one another. Both Moxley and Page refuse to be even, and if it takes a barbaric battle to end this deadlock once and for all, so be it. Who will walk out with their hand held high, and who’ll be staring up at the lights on the brink of absolute collapse?
It’s “Hangman” Adam Page versus Jon Moxley; the final match in this fantastic trilogy!
Dismantling the Dragon
Bryan Danielson has been on an absolute tear as of late, as he powers on to secure that 60-minute Iron Man Match for the AEW World Championship at Revolution against MJF. Unfortunately, last week’s events may have put a wrench in the plans of “The American Dragon.” Brian Cage, one of MJF’s many mercenaries, would severely damage Danielson’s arm to secure the bounty he was promised.
If it wasn’t for Konosuke Takeshita‘s intervention that prevented the assault of Cage and MJF on Danielson, we may have seen the demise of one of the greatest in-ring competitors of all-time unfold before our very eyes. Danielson is far from 100%. However, even with the advice of AEW’s medical team, Bryan refuses to quit and is hellbent on having a match for the World Title.
Things this week won’t get any easier as he faces off against Pro Wrestling NOAH’s own Timothy Thatcher. A former GHC Tag Team Champion, Thatcher is one of the most frightening and physical competitors in the world of professional wrestling today. He has brutally and systematically hurt every opponent and in every promotion, he has ever set foot in. Timothy Thatcher is a monster of a man and sees inflicting pain as a pastime.
Bryan Danielson is truly one of the greatest ever. But, he may have finally met the competitor that will end his dreams of ever competing for AEW’s top prize. Will Bryan Danielson live to fight one more week? Or will Timothy Thatcher do what everybody else couldn’t in his debut; slay “The American Dragon?”
