Back to School Season

Eddie Edwards and Frankie Kazarian have a lot in common. In addition to being IMPACT Wrestling veterans, they were both also trained by the legendary Killer Kowalski. Another thing they have in common is the desire to pin one another in the middle of the ring. They will get that chance when IMPACT Wrestling presents Emergence 2023, but it will not be held in the IMPACT Zone.

The two will battle it out where their careers started, at the school of Killer Kowalski. With back to school in full swing, the match is fitting as both men learned the basics from this very school in Boston. The two have battled it out in an IMPACT ring over the last couple of months. The feud escalated to the point where Alisha Edwards and Traci Brooks, the wives of Eddie and Frankie respectively got involved at Slammiversary. Now they will square off one last time to settle who was the better student of Killer Kowalski.

Deonna Wants the Knockouts Title Back

Deonna Purrazzo has had a run with the Knockouts Championship that has not been seen in IMPACT Wrestling in a long time. Her last title reign came to an end at Slammiversary 2023. She took on Trinity in a losing effort that saw her submit for the first time in her IMPACT Wrestling career. It did not take long for Deonna to claim her shot at a rematch for the title she has become synonymous with.

Purrazzo confronted Trinity on a recent episode of IMPACT on AXS TV where she laid down the challenge for her rematch. Trinity accepted and the match was made official. Trinity comes into this match with a mental edge over Purrazzo. Although Purrazzo has held the title three times for a combined 531 days, which is the second longest combined days behind only Gail Kim, Trinity made Purrazzo tap. Purrazzo is usually a technical favorite in a match. She has ended many matches with armbar submissions in the IMPACT Zone. The tables turned at Slammiversary as she tapped out.

Now Trinity goes in with a mental edge. Will it be enough to retain the title? Find out as IMPACT Wrestling presents Emergence 2023.
