Final Girls: WWE Superstars Who’d Survive a Horror Movie (And Those Who Won’t)

A photo featuring WWE Superstars Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton.

The final girl trope is engrained in horror movie-making. It is almost a necessity to tell a story of the macabre. Every major horror franchise has used this trop in their story, and some of those final girls have become the most recognizable faces in horror history. It is a badge of honor to wear for those women. In the WWE today, some women would be the perfect option for a final girl; on the other hand, there are some who would not. Some would see the sunrise after a brutal night, and some wouldn’t make it past the killer. Below are some of those women.

 Survivor: Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch is the definition of a survivor. For years, she was saddled with gimmicks that didn’t fit her personality. Through perseverance and a stray punch, she rose to the top of the company, becoming one of the most popular women in history.

The strength and confidence that propelled her to stardom are the qualities that would make her an ideal final girl. Lynch would not be the one to inspect a noise or cower in the face of a killer. She would likely take the fight to them and be the last one standing at the night’s end.

Victim: Chelsea Green

Chelsea Green has been great in her second run with WWE. She has leaned into her annoying heel character, and it has made her one of the most entertaining characters on the roster.

Green is the perfect cowardly heel character, and the fans have responded positively towards her. It is too bad that in a horror movie situation, she would be less than useless.

Green’s character is great at wrestling, but when being stalked, she would be among the first to go. She would have no issues leaving everyone behind, even pushing them in the killer’s path. These types of characters never survive long in a horror movie.

Survivor: Asuka

No one in WWE was ready for Asuka. When she broke into the company, she embarked on a reign of terror, defeating everyone who stood in her way. In WWE, Asuka went undefeated for an awe-inspiring 914 days.

Throughout that journey, she tore through an impressive cast that compiled a who’s who of WWE greats.

In a horror setting, there may not be anyone who could topple Asuka. For starters, she looks like a horror villain herself. Her painted face and erratic movements made her a terrifying opponent.

She would show no fear in the face of a slasher, even go so far as to be the first to take up arms against the evil. No horror movie villain would be ready for Asuka.

Victim: Nia Jax

The Women’s World Champion has been a dominant force in WWE. Her previous runs have been marred with controversy, but this current one has seen her become more successful than ever.

Her big bully character is perfect for her, and she has claimed her rightful place at the top of the women’s division.

Now, this type of character would only live for a short time in a horror movie. The bully is one who usually makes it far but is cut down before the final girl can take her place. Jax would be the character the audience can’t wait to see meet her end, and that is what would happen.

Survivor: Bianca Belair

The EST of WWE has been one of the best parts of the women’s roster for years now. Her charisma is unmatched, and her ability in the ring has won her every major accomplishment that the company has to offer.

With Belair’s perfect match of strength and speed, it would be hard to see her not making it to the end of a horrifying situation. She is the best at what she does, and that includes surviving a horror movie.

It would be wise of any slasher to avoid the EST if they hope to survive their killing spree.

Victim: Liv Morgan

Morgan has been the best heel on the women’s roster. Her mean-girl gimmick has been fantastic, and she has improved in every facet of her character. Her in-ring work is perfect, and there might not be a heel that is more hated by the company. A

long with Dominik Mysterio, she has formed a truly hated pairing that has fans eating out of the palm of her hand.

Unfortunately, all these great qualities would have her meet her end in a horror movie. The mean girl schtick works well for wrestling, but that would put her in the crosshairs during a horror flick.

The mean girls usually make it to the end, but their deaths are almost inevitable because of how they have treated others during the story. It would be an end that horror fan Morgan may not be opposed to.
