Saracens Mavericks show support for pride month.

Mavspride

As Pride Month draws to a close, several of our Saracens Mavericks players took the time to share what makes netball and Mavericks in-particular, so inclusive.

Saracens is an inclusive club that welcomes everybody and netball as a sport is no different. It's a club and a community that Kira Rothwell is proud to be part of, thanks to how both help empower people.

"Netball is a sport that has incredible potential to empower women all over the UK and being part of a club that champions inclusivity and supports the LGBTQ+ community is really important.  It is a club that I’m proud to be a part of."

It's a view that is echoed by Christina Shaw, who stressed the importance of people being able to be their 'authentic self.'

"It is great that Saracens Mavericks has a platform to promote diversity to encourage people to be their authentic selves. I am proud to be part of a club that respects and celebrates people’s differences and is welcoming to all."

For Lisa Mather, she is proud to be part of a club and a community that welcomes and celebrates everyone.

"Saracens Mavericks is a club that wants to represent and include all of our community. As a collective we embrace all people and value any individual that has a shared passion for our sport. We are all unique in our own ways and Mavericks is a club that really does want your authentic self to be celebrated and supported. The power is in numbers, the more people that are involved and included in our sport the better! All are welcomed."

With Pride Month drawing to a close, Saracens are committed to championing and celebrating people being able to be their true selves.
