Ahead of the first round of the 2019/20 Tyrrells Premier 15s against Bristol Bears Women this weekend, here is a round-up of some of the key ins and outs at Saracens Women.

The Ins

Mackenzie Carson (Bristol Bears Women) - the Canadian international hooker and back row joins from TP15s rivals Bristol Bears

Kelsey Clifford (Centre of Excellence) - Clifford has represented England U18 and the prop forward has come through the Centre of Excellence programme

Shaniah Herelle (Centre of Excellence) - the talented young back has represented South West U15s and comes from Buckingham RUFC

Rachel Laqeretabua (Richmond FC) - the winger was part of the England National Academy Squad in November 2018

Jodie Mallard (Loughborough Lightning) - England U20 scrum-half joins from the East Midlands outfit

Lisa Martin (LMRCV) - highly experienced Scotland international joins after a season playing in France, for her second stint in the TP15s

Aisha Marzouq (Old Albanians) - the back five forward was part of the OAs Women team that gained promotion to Championship 1 South for the 2019/20 season

Molly Morrissey (Gloucester-Hartpury Women) - former England U20 second row comes across from the West Country having missed last season due to knee injury

Donna Rose (Trojan Ladies) - dynamic back rower played over 150 times for Trojans and was captain of the 1st XV

Kate Skelton (Old Albanians) - back rower was part of the OAs Women team that gained promotion to Championship 1 South for the 2019/20 season

Aine Staunton (UL Bohemians & Munster Women) - the wing/fullback joins from powerhouse Irish club, UL Bohemians

Jodie Turl (Anglia Ruskin University and Shelford RFC) - prop joins from the Cambridge club having only started playing rugby two years ago

Jade Wong (Richmond FC) - Ireland 7s international joins after nine years of senior rugby at Richmond FC

Speaking on her departure, Swords said:

“Joining Saracens was a good challenge for me and after six years at club it wasn’t an easy move to make. I’ve had some amazing times with the team and made some great memories, but lifestyle of the game dictated my move. I’m looking forward to the new challenge at Harlequins and the season ahead”

ENGLAND SEVENS

Sydney Gregson, Helena Rowland and Emma Uren remain signed to Sarries but are unavailable for Premier 15s selection due to their inclusion in the full time England Sevens programme. The club wishes them the best of luck!

Nina Vistisen is currently in Australia playing for Sydney University. She will be returning to Saracens Women in November.
