Stan Wawrinka has already played a couple of matches this season on the clay court surface. He won 2 and lost 3 matches. He is far away from his best form, but Stan is always dangerous on the clay court surface. We can not forget that he won the French Open title in 2015. The last tournament he played was in Marrakech. Wawrinka won in the first round easily against Ramos-Vinolas. After that, he lost in the second round against Navone in three tough sets. Stan played a perfect first 2 sets. However, he looked exhausted in the third set and could not win against Navone!
According to the bookies, Wawrinka is the underdog in this match. We can not agree with that. He is a great clay court specialist. Given his experience, we expect him to do well at such a big tournament as this one! That being said, Wawrinka to cover games handicap is a value bet!

Hubert Hurkacz won his first title of the season this week in Estoril! The clay court surface is not his favorite one, but he looked great in Estoril. Hurkacz won in the final against Pablo Martinez in straight sets. He served well and did not offer any breakpoints. Hurkacz served 15 aces with 0 double faults. Even though he loves to play on fast surfaces, Hurkacz can play decently on the clay courts as well! He has won 6 out of his last 7 games, and he might be a dark horse here in Monte Carlo!
Jack Draper started this season great. He played in the final in Adelaide at his first tournament of the season. He lost against Lehecka in three sets! At the moment, Draper is not in his best form. It seems like his fitness is not good at all! He lost 3 out of the last 4 matches he played! In his last match, Draper lost in Miami against Jarry in three sets. He played his last clay court match last season at the French Open where he had to retire mid-match against Etcheverry. Draper also loves to play on the fast courts!
According to the bookies, this should be a tight match. However, we believe that Hurkacz is in better form. He played a couple of matches on the clay court and he will be ready tomorrow! Hurkacz also won last year at Monte Carlo against Draper in three sets. That being said, Hurkacz winning is a value bet!
