ATP 250 Antwerp 1/8-Finals
Giron – Rinderknech: 17.10.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 2-1
Marcos Giron has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Shanghai, Marcos reached the third round, where he lost against Goffin in three tight sets. He is looking for a solid result this week to cement his top 50 status. In the opening round here in Antwerp, Giron defeated Van de Zandschulp in straight sets as we predicted. Last year around this time, Marcos played in Basel, where he lost against Humbert in the opening round. So far this season, Giron had his biggest result in Newport, where he won the title, winning against Michelsen in the final.
Arthur Rinderknech has lost three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago in Shanghai, Rinderknech lost his opening match against Tabilo in straight sets. Here in Antwerp, Rinderknech had a favorable first round draw. Arthur defeated Blockx in straight sets. Rinderknech was great under pressure, saving eight out of the nine breakpoints.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, this should be a 50-50 match. Giron has had a better season than Arthur thus far. We believe that he will be a better player on the court tomorrow, and dominate from the very start. Giron has played solid tennis for the last couple of weeks, so we expect him to win against Arthur tomorrow.
That being said, Giron winning is a value bet.

Seyboth Wild – Tsitsipas: 17.10.2024 Time TBA
H2H: first meeting
Thiago Seyboth Wild has won four of his last five matches. Two weeks ago in Shanghai, Thiago lost against Medvedev in the second round. It was a solid match, where Seyboth Wild kept the match tight against one of the best hard-court players. Here in Antwerp, Thiago successfully qualified for the main-draw tournament. In his opening main-draw match, Thiago defeated Mpetshi Perricard in straight sets. The Brazilian served well, not offering any breakpoints. Last year around this time, Thiago played in Stockholm, where he lost against Safiullin in the opening round.
Stefanos Tsitsipas has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Shanghai, Tsitsipas lost against Medvedev in the 1/8-Finals in straight sets. Tsitsipas has been struggling with his form this season, which led to him being outside the top 10. Last year in Antwerp, Stefanos reached the semifinals, where he lost against Fils in straight sets.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Tsitsipas is the big favorite in this matchup. Stefanos needed a lot of time to prepare his backhand. He usually underperforms on the indoor hard courts such as this one. Thiago played solidly this week in Antwerp, and we believe that he will be fully confident coming into this match. We expect him to keep this match tight.
That being said, Thiago covering the games handicap is a value bet.
