The final four men are known for this year’s Roland Garros and they are ready to give us some thrilling matches in the semifinals. These four men have given their all in this tournament and are worth to be here. Two familiar names, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, are the heavy favorites to be in the dream final. However, it will not be easy as their opponents will try to seize their opportunity to reach a final at a Grand Slam event for their first time.

Novak Djokovic vs Stefanos Tsitsipas

These two incredible players are tied in their head-to-head with three wins apiece. The last time that they met was this year in the final at Dubai where the Serbian took the match in straight sets. This time the circumstances are different as they will play in a clay court and in a different environment. They have played in clay once last year in the Madrid Open and Novak won the match in straight sets. The young Greek is a much better player now and comes with all the confidence in the world by thrashing Andrey Rublev in the quarter-finals. He also faced elimination in the first round and bounced back to win in three hard fought sets.

Djokovic hadn’t faced a tough opponent until he faced Pablo Carreño Busta in the quarterfinals. He lost the first set but then took control of the match. The Serbian was criticized by the Spaniard as he didn’t like that Djokovic kept calling the trainer mid-match to work on his left arm. We will have to see if Djokovic is still in pain during the match with Tsitsipas and if he’ll call the trainer in between sit downs. All in all, this match will be a spectacular one as Tsitsipas will try his best to knock out Djokovic and go to the final. No doubt this will be the toughest match for the Serbian thus far and we’ll see who come on top.

Diego Schwartzman vs Rafael Nadal

Rafael Nadal leads this head to head series with nine wins and one loss, which came a few weeks ago at the Italian Open. The Argentine is playing some great tennis although he looked a bit off his game in his last match against Dominic Thiem. Schwartzman is great in clay but Nadal is the heavy favorite in this clash. Although, Nadal says that he feels that the conditions are more favorable for Schwartzman at the French Open. The upset loss to the Argentine has made Nadal use a different strategy in this match and have a different mentality.

Nadal is yet to drop a set, although he fought hard in the first set against Jannik Sinner, winning the set in a tie break. The Argentine has proven before that he can make life difficult for Nadal and this time it will not be any different. This match promises to be a great one although, Nadal is the favorite to win and head to the final.

Thrilling Matches

Altogether, both of these semi-final matches will be thrilling and full of excellent tennis. Nadal is trying to look to make history while the other three opponents will try to stop him. Both matches will be evenly played and no opponent will give anything cheap to their opponents. No question that the dream final is Nadal vs Novak, but Tsitsipas and Schwartzman have other plans. Get ready for a lot of entertainment, drama, and high level tennis being provided by these tennis juggernauts.
