ATP Los Cabos Day 2 Predictions Including Nuno Borges vs Dominik Koepfer

Nuno Borges Australian Open

A fun and exciting week of evening tennis continues at the ATP 250 in Los Cabos, Mexico with Day 2 on Tuesday. As always, we here at LWOT predict all of our matches. We split the day’s matches between this and a separate article. Who do you think will win?

ATP Los Cabos Day 2 Predictions

Diego Schwartzman vs Emilio Nava

Head–to–Head: First Meeting

Former champion Diego Schwartzman is back in familiar territory aiming to bag his first win of the season. He’s been sent packing in the first round of every event he’s participated in this year so he’ll be hoping he is fourth-time lucky against an opponent who will be making his debut here.

The Argentine has nicked a game in his last two matches and because the hard courts of Los Cabos play to his advantage, he should be able to secure his first win of the season with a victory over Emilio Nava.
Prediction: Schwartzman in 3

Marcos Giron vs Taro Daniel

Head–to–Head: Giron 1 vs 0 Daniel

After a great start to the year, Taro Daniel is struggling with his form and has just won one of his last five matches with three of the defeats coming on hard courts. Contrastingly, Marcos Giron is in imperious form, winning seven of his last nine and playing in at least the semi-finals of his last two events in Dallas and Delray to earn him a career-high ranking in the Top 50.

Taro Daniel is capable of showing up when he wants to but on his current form, this is a match for the American to lose.
Prediction: Giron in 2

Nuno Borges vs Dominik Koepfer

Head–to–Head: Borges 1 vs 0 Koepfer

Nuno Borges demonstrated how good he can be on hard courts with an excellent fourth round showing in Melbourne. He defeated Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Grigor Dimitrov before losing to eventual runner-up Daniil Medvedev. The Portuguese must be satisfied with how his season is unraveling and will feel confident he can defeat Dominik Kopefer a second time.

The German isn’t in bad form either and this match can go either way but Borges has shown more solidity with his serve and is the more experienced on this surface.
Prediction: Borges in 3
