ATP Wimbledon 1/64-Finals
Jarry – Shapovalov: 01.07.2024 12:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Nicolas Jarry has won three of his last five matches. The last competitive match that he played was at the French Open, where he lost against Moutet in the first round as we predicted. Jarry never had any remarkable results on grass, and he usually avoids grass court tournaments. Last year at Wimbledon, Jarry reached the third round where he lost against Carlos Alcaraz in four tight sets. Nicolas has not played any preparation tournaments for Wimbledon, so we are not sure how his body will adapt to the surface.
Denis Shapovalov has lost three of his last five matches. This is his favorite part of the season, and we believe that he will get back to the winning runs, here on grass. So far this season, Denis has played only two preparation tournaments on grass. Earlier this month, Denis lost in the first round at the challenger tournament in Surbiton against Vukic. After that, Shapovalov lost in the 1/8-Finals of the ATP Stuttgart against Berrettini in straight sets. Last year at Wimbledon, Denis reached the 1/8-Finals where he lost against Safiullin in four sets.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Shapovalov is just the slight favorite in this matchup. Both players are currently out of form. However, Denis is a way better grass court player than Jarry. We believe that he will dominate from the very start, and win the match comfortably.
That being said, Shapovalov winning is a value bet.

Kovacevic – Medvedev: 01.07.2024 14:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Aleksandar Kovacevic has lost four of his last five matches. So far this season, Kovacevic has only played two matches on grass, and lost both of them. Two weeks ago in London, Aleksandar lost in the first qualifying round against Rinderknech in two tight sets. After that, Kovacevic tried to qualify for the ATP Eastbourne, but failed yet again in the first qualifying round. Aleksandar has a huge serve and a solid forehand, so he should definitely perform better on grass. Last year at Wimbledon, Kovacevic lost in the final qualifying round against Couacaud.
Daniil Medvedev has won three of his last five matches. After losing against de Minaur in the 1/8-Finals at the French Open, Daniil has played only one preparation tournament for Wimbledon. Two weeks ago in Halle, Medvedev lost against Zhang in three tight sets as we predicted. Besides reaching the semifinals last year at Wimbledon where he lost against Alcaraz, Daniil never had any remarkable results on grass.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Medvedev is the huge favorite in this matchup. We do believe that he will win this match. However, we believe that Kovacevic will win many free points with his serve. We expect him to keep this match at least a little bit interesting.
That being said, Kovacevic covering the games handicap is a value bet.
Value bet/ the best odds: Aleksandar Kovacevic +7.5 games handicap @1.67 @bet365
