ATP Metz Best Bets Including Halys vs Rinderknech

Arthur Rinderknech Challenger Tour

ATP 250 Metz 1/16-Finals

Martinez – Herbert: 04.11.2024 14:00 CEST
H2H: first meeting

Pablo Martinez has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Paris, Pablo lost his opening match against Thompson in straight sets. So far this season, Martinez has already won a couple of challenger titles, which cemented his top 50 status. He never had any success on the indoor hard courts. Last year around this time, Martinez played at the challenger tour level.

Pierre-Hugues Herbert has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Bratislava, Herbert played in the challenger tournament, where he was stopped in the second round, losing against Diallo in straight sets. Here in Metz, Herbert lost in the final qualifying round against Cazaux in three sets. However, with some of the players withdrawing from the tournament, Herbert entered the main-draw as a lucky loser. Last year in Metz, Herbert reached the semifinals, where he was stopped by Shevchenko in straight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, this should be a 50-50 match. Pablo Martinez almost always underperforms on the indoor courts. On the other hand, Herbert loved to play in front of his crowd, where he already had tons of success. We believe that with the help of the crowd, Herbert will get the job done here in Metz.

That being said, Herbert winning is a value bet.

Halys – Rinderknech: 04.11.2024 15:30 CEST
H2H: 1-1

Quentin Halys has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Paris, Halys lost his opening main-draw match against Cerundolo in straight sets. Here in Metz, Quentin successfully qualified for the main-draw tournament. In the first qualifying round, Halys defeated Martineau in straight sets. After that, in the final qualifying round, Quentin won against Barrere in straight sets as well. Halys is looking for a solid result this week, to cement his top 100 status. So far in his career, Halys has never won a main-draw match here in Metz.

Arthur Rinderknech has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Paris, Rinderknech reached the 1/8-Finals, where he was stopped by Dimitrov in three tight sets. So far this season, Rinderknech has not had any remarkable results. His biggest results this season were at the challenger tournaments here in France. During his most recent appearance in 2022 here in Metz, Rinderknech was stopped in the quarterfinals.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, this should be a almost 50-50 match. Both players love to play on the indoor courts here in France. Rinderknech had slightly better results this season than Halys, so we believe that he will be more confident coming into this matchup. In their most recent head-to-head meeting, Rinderknech defeated Halys in four sets at the US Open. We expect a similar outcome tomorrow as well.

That being said, Rinderknech winning is a value bet.
