EPCR has announced the following adjustment to our Round 2 Kick-off time:

The Investec Champions Cup Round 2 fixture between Stade Français Paris and Saracens, which was set to kick off at 15:15 GMT / 16:15 CET, will now kick off at the earlier time of 13:00 GMT / 14:00 CET.

This fixture will now be broadcast live on beIN SPORTS, Premier Sports and SuperSport.

Confirmed kick-off time:

Investec Champions Cup R2 Stade Français Paris v Saracens, Stade Jean-Bouin

Sunday 15 December 2024, 13:00 GMT / 14:00 CET

Live on beIN SPORTS (France), Premier Sports (UK and Ireland), SuperSport (South Africa)

Why has the kick-off time changed?

Due to the busy schedule at Porte D’Auteuil on Sunday 15 December with both Parc des Princes and Stade Jean-Bouin hosting matches, the fixture has been brought forward to 14 :00 local time, with Paris St Germain playing Olympique Lyonnais at 20:45 local time.

This is to ensure the local authorities and both home clubs can manage spectator movements and logistics in the area in the best possible way.

Why can’t it go ahead in the same slot?

Due to the volume of spectators at both matches and need to move fans safely and efficiently, the rugby fixture must finish earlier to ensure the area can manage fans.

Why can’t it just move an hour earlier rather than more than two hours?
The Investec Champions Cup slots are confirmed with broadcasters well ahead of the fixtures being confirmed. Due to the number of moving parts – not just across EPCR competitions, but across all broadcasters’ sports programmes – the match slots cannot be changed.

Why does the RCT v Glasgow match need to change?

Due to EPCR’s broadcast partner rights, there must be one French-hosted match at 1400 and one at 1615. Therefore, with the Stade Français Paris v Saracens match needing to move earlier to take into account the volume of spectators in the Porte D’Auteuil, the RCT v Glasgow fixture moves to 1615.
